Meet Stefan Dorn, CEO of Bluechai, a company that revolutionizes your tea experience with each cup. Hailing from Germany, Bluechai is renowned in the production and distribution of exotic tea and cocktail ingredients all over the world.

Meet the Founder

Having studied in Germany, the US and Thailand, Stefan Dorn gained deep insights into foreign cultures and perspectives at a young age. He obtained his Bachelor degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from Ramkhamhaeng University, Institute of International Studies (IIS-RU) in Bangkok.

While studying in Southeast Asia, he discovered many unique flavors of tea, many of which were previously unheard to him. He immediately fell in love with the colors and flavors of the teas. Seeing that some of these exotic teas were unavailable in Germany, Dorn was determined to recreate these teas for himself.

Dorn joined forces with Nawaporn Chotechamchoi and Barbara Dorn in the founding of Bluechai. The trio work in tandem to make exotic flavours of tea accessible to the rest of the world.

What’s So Special

In an emerging exotic tea industry, Bluechai is the first and only company in the world to offer three completely natural and organic blue tea varieties, without any artificial ingredients. The teas are also 100% caffeine free.

In an attempt to rectify the broken supply chain of goods, Bluechai renders the exotic tea flavours of Southeast Asia easily accessible to the rest of the world, what with its shipments being able to reach any country in the world within 10 days.

Big players in the commercial tea industry, such as Starbucks, come up with new teas only seasonally, and none of the ideas are half as exotic as Bluechai’s. The company has managed to come up with innovative and quirky recipes without using any chemical ingredients, fulfilling the need for a natural and unique tea drinking experience for all its customers.

Bluechai has managed to make exotic Asian teas accessible to a largely western market, adding to the variety of teas made available in large consumer markets in the US and Europe.

Product Spotlight

Bluechai is the only online tea shop in the world to sell three blue teas: Butterfly Pea Flower Tea, Rare Black Goji Berry Tea and Organic Blue Marrow Flower Tea. The flowers are grown in Germany during summer, and in Thailand during other times of the year. Farmers are compensated fairly due to the increased workload associated with growing tea without any chemicals and pesticides. The teas are then packed in 100% natural tisane sachets, to ensure freshness that lasts for up to two years.

The Blue Teas are made from dried butterfly pea flowers and lemongrass. These ingredients have been used in Asian teas for centuries. There are also overwhelming benefits to drinking Bluechai’s blue teas. Antioxidants in the teas help improve blood flow and tackle free radials in the body that can lead to the development of cancerous cells. All in all, the tea makes for an essential supplement to your diet.

In the Media

Bluechai has received much traction from international media due to the distinctive nature of their teas. The company has had coverage on prominent websites such as The Wall Street Journal, Business Insider and The New York Times, among many others.

The unparalleled innovativeness of Bluechai’s products has got many independent food bloggers and influential food connoisseurs raving. It’s not hard to see why, organic, vegan blue tea is a novel idea in itself.

To the Future

Bluechai’s long-term goals include establishing itself as the global leader of exotic teas, making “Butterfly Pea Tea” synonymous with Bluechai. The company intends to propagate further growth through the increase of its sales and long-term customer retention.
